Dr. Ann Wei
United States
After graduating from the National Taiwan University School of Dentistry in 2002, Dr. Wei moved to the U.S. to join her husband and pursued a 2-year International Dentist program at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) to obtain her US dental license. Her dental education in Taiwan was surgically driven, while her training in the U.S, focused on restorative dentistry.
She furthered her expertise by completing a 3-year postgraduate residency program in Prosthodontics at UCSF, where she mastered interdisciplinary prosthodontic treatment planning, complex dental reconstruction, and implant dentistry. Dr. Wei has a robust dental background that combines surgical and restorative skills, enabling her to excel in complex prosthodontic treatments. She taught Prosthodontics part-time at UCSF for nearly 10 years and continues to volunteer for graduate programs, participating in annual mock board exams and lecturing General Practice residents (GPR) on various prosthodontic topics.
Dentistry is her passion, with a special interest in the surgical aspects of dental implants and the technology-based prosthetic fabrication process. Dr. Wei often serves as the implant surgeon, restorative dentist, and ceramist, ensuring comprehensive care and high-quality outcomes for her patients.
