Prof. Markus B. Blatz

Prof. Dr. med. dent. Markus B. Blatz is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences, and Assistant Dean for Digital Innovation and Professional Development at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, as well as founding Director of their CAD/CAM Ceramic Center.
He received his dental degree, Doctorate, Postgraduate Certificate in Prosthodontics, Habilitation (PhD), and a Professorship from University of Freiburg, Germany.
Prof. Blatz serves as Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, and editorial board member of numerous scientific dental journals and is the recipient of multiple teaching and research awards.
He has published and lectured extensively on dental esthetics, restorative materials, and implant dentistry. Most recently Prof. Blatz was awarded the Top Educator Award, from Karma Courses, for the Most Educational Instagram Account 2023 for Comprehensive Restorative Dentistry.
